AutoCAD Plant 3D contains thousands of catalog parts for the Oil & Gas, Chemical Engineering, and Power industries. You can access and update all these though Specs and Catalogs Editor. In addition to all these users can now download content packs that contain catalog parts for specific needs. Several content packs are already available on AutoCAD Plant Exchange that are built by created by third-party vendors.
The content packs that are currently available are:
PIP specs (Americas)
AS/NZS Structural Steel Sections Content Pack
AS/NZS Pipes and Fittings
GB Piping Content Pack
JIS/JPI Piping Content Pack
JIS Steel
DIN/EN Piping Content Pack
UK Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings Content Pack
Readme files associate with each content pack has the details of content available in the pack and how to use it in your product.
To use these content you need to extract the files to the desired location.
Example: For PIP specs available on AutoCAD Plant Exchange; unzip the PIP specs and copy all the PIP specs into the content catalog location. For AutoCAD Plant 3D 2011 use the location: C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2011 Content\CPak ASME\ and if you are still using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2010 then use this location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD Plant 3D\Content\Catalogs\
The content packs are developed based on customer requests. If you would like to request specific regional or industry-specific catalog parts for Autodesk’s consideration, contact your reseller or write your request on AutoCAD Plant Exchange Feedback.

I hope you don’t mind a quick question (well, maybe not that quick) but, I’ve grabbed a bunch of content packs and I have no idea how to set them up.

Is there anyway you can lay it out for me on where these need to be extracted to?
Much appreciated.
